The Big Island Family - Wheaton, IL Photographer

It was a sunny, cool day at Cantigny when I had the opportunity of photographing this extended family of 14. It was a little daunting, I'll admit, but all 8 kids did amazingly well for a full two-hour shoot! These two families haven't seen each other in years as one lives in Wheaton and the other in Africa, so you can tell by the cousins gestures of love towards one another how much they were enjoying being together. They have had the privilege of getting together on "The Big Island" as grandpa and grandma lived there for quite a few years, but the midwest's mild spring weather and Cantigny's natural beauty made for a beautiful backdrop on this occasion. Hope you all can enjoy these photos and your love for one another as you look at them and remember your fun weeks together as a family.

It was a beautiful sunny day to photograph this extended family gathering, something I wouldn't have expected in early March, but for which I am thankful.  The cousins were enjoying each other and cracking up at their parents' antics to get them to smile. Hope the grandparents love their gift and the sweet little faces captured here...

These five boys were full of energy as they reunited as cousins for the first time in 5 years. They were good sports through all 200+ pictures I took of them, and we got some great ones to send along to their grandfather who requested the photos.
