Family of Four - Elgin IL Photographer

This lovely family, as I found out, are fellow Geneva businessmen/women who run a Karate studio just a few blocks from my home. It's always great to be able to meet other people who are in business alongside me in my community, and they were are sweet and friendly as can be--as you can tell in their kind expressions : ) It was another beautiful day at LeRoy Oakes Forsest Preserve!

Alice in Wonderland Senior Portraits -- St Charles, IL Photographer

This was a really fun senior session for me to photograph. This is the younger sister of another senior session I took a few years ago, and both of them had creative ideas for their time with me, which always makes it fun. {L}'s out of the box idea was to have an Alice in Wonderland themed look, a princess in the flowers, and she looks gorgeous! The early evening light at Cantigny added a magical glow to each photo, and I love how these turned out : )

Baby {K} is on the Way! -- Elgin, IL Photographer

This was a truly great session with a couple who were as natural in conversation as they were in posing for these photos. I kept thinking that they had had formal training in modeling prior to our session bc they just kept blowing me away with their perfect poses! The other fun thing to see was how in love they are with each other and how much they enjoy just being together. I am excited for them as their new little one arrives, and the blessing they will be to him as parents.

I love my job on days like the one I took this family's photos. They were so sweet, and were a window into what life will be like 10 years from now with my own 3 kids. The oldest daughter is going to be graduating in just a few weeks, and the family was capturing this milestone stage in their lives before she moves on to college next year. It really is the best part of my job to meet great families, along the way, like this beautiful one.
